Leah Kinghorn

Helping Seniors

A GIANT THANK YOU ūüôŹ¬†to¬†Leah Kinghorn¬†who arranged a collaboration between¬†Opeongo Senior Center¬†and¬†Access Work Service¬†in the month of February and March 2021.¬†

We were able to assist 19 seniors and provide much needed employment for 9 workers.  We provided free snow removal, yard work, house cleaning, minor home repairs, dump runs, wood piling and computer lessons.

The seniors we worked for were very appreciative to have received the much need assistance.  We were overjoyed to be able to provide free assistance to families in crisis this winter and the hospitality received by our hosts for our goodwill was enormous.

Please see our next Blog in this 8 part series.

  • Many many thanks to the work crew who did another great job at the St Paul‚Äôs Cemetery. We are so grateful. Could you ask the crew supervisor to call me and we can discuss how many more cuts to do to finish out the season. If there is availability I might want to do an extra cut. My telephone number is (613) 401-8976. Thank you again.
